If you thought this was crazy, then what on earth is this? That's the weirdest gadget I've ever seen! In front of us are 15 of the latest, craziest smartphone gadgets, each one more impressive than the last.
First up: a wireless charging pad with a twist—it's modular. You can buy up to six separate modular units, each attaching magnetically to the last. A cool concept, but at $30 per pad, isn't it better to buy a charger designed for multiple devices from the start? This one gets a 5 out of 10.
Next, a $600 wireless charger with a frame made of solid aluminum and genuine Alcantara padding. It uses free power technology, charging up to three devices simultaneously, no matter their placement. But, luxury for a wireless charger? At ten times the price of regular chargers, it’s hard to justify. To test it, we'll charge one iPhone on this charger and another on the $30 modular one.
The Echo Show 10 is next. A 10.1-inch smart display with a rotating mechanism and a capable smart speaker that tracks you around the room. It's useful for watching movies or taking calls without propping up your phone. However, the lack of a YouTube app disrupts the hands-free experience.
Smartphone cameras are getting closer to pro cameras, and the motorized slider made for smartphones is a testament to this. It lets you clip your phone and move it for dynamic shots. Despite its one-minute recalibration time, it earns a solid 6 out of 10.
For gadgets that attach to your phone, we have one that lets you stick anything to it. It consists of two pieces of plastic: one attaches to your phone, the other to whatever you want to attach. The clip is so firm that it sometimes tears the glue off the phone.
Prismo, an RGB wireless charger, has a rubberized texture, a solid frame, and rotating LED modes. Not energy-efficient, but definitely cool.
As a massive tea enthusiast, the smart temperature control mug is a delight. It keeps your tea at a perfect temperature for up to an hour and a half or indefinitely on the charging coaster. With features like customizable LEDs and auto shut-off, it gets a 6.9 out of 10.
From Slick, we have premium smartphone holders. Well-made, affordable, and available in various designs, they offer reassurance that your phone isn’t going anywhere. However, they do look a bit like dinner trays.
The removal of the headphone jack has led to the creation of high-end DAC headphone adapters. For those using high-quality headphones or high-fidelity music services, this gadget enhances the audio experience.
Smartphone microscopes offer magnification up to 250 times. Despite some fit issues with the larger models, they reveal incredible details, earning them a place in our top gadgets.
The Big Softie is a smartphone flash done right. Easy to mount, control, and charge, it makes a noticeable difference in photo and video quality, especially with front cameras.
The NexDock Touch is an empty laptop summary powered by your phone. With a touchscreen, it feels more like a supersized smartphone, allowing for tasks like multitasking, full keyboard typing, and even taking selfies with the main camera.
The Storm 2 is a transparent power bank with 27,600 mAh capacity, charging an iPhone 12 Pro Max five times over. It can charge and be charged simultaneously, though the plastic casing feels flexible.
The SuperBase 500 is a power station with 140,000 mAh capacity and the ability to power nine devices simultaneously. It has a display, multiple recharging methods, and is suitable for extreme power users.
Smart shoes that sync with your music let you feel sound through your feet. With a six-hour battery and full control over the intensity, they offer a new dimension to music for those who are moved by it.
Finally, the results of our charging test: The $30 modular charger charged the iPhone to 74%, while the expensive one reached only 51%. This demonstrates why luxury wireless chargers may not be the best choice.

Hey everyone, it’s Josh. Today I have a story to share that’s equal parts frustrating and unbelievable. Yes, Apple replaced my iMac Pro, but I’m still mad, and here’s why.
The Backstory: VESA Mount Woes
If you missed my initial video on the VESA mount issues I faced with my iMac Pro, you might want to check it out first. To give you a quick refresher: the Genius Bar at my local Apple Store not only managed to damage the back of my iMac and its stand during a repair, but the brand new VESA kit they installed broke again. Why? Because they used blue thread locker, which shouldn’t have been used in the first place. It's not necessary for the installation and makes the screws extremely difficult to remove.
So there I was, stuck with a broken iMac in worse cosmetic condition than before. Not exactly the quality of service you’d expect when dealing with a premium product.
Returning to the Apple Store
Frustrated, I decided to head back to the Apple Store. When I got there, I immediately asked to speak to the manager. The conversation didn’t exactly start on a positive note. Despite the mess they had made, they initially tried to send me away with the damaged iMac, hoping I wouldn’t notice. It was only after some insistence and showing the viral traction my first video had gained that they replaced my iMac Pro with a new one.
Would Apple Do This for Anyone?
Here’s the thing that bothers me: would Apple have done this for anyone? I’d like to think so, but the fact that my video had already picked up a fair amount of attention seems to have played a significant role. One of the employees even mentioned seeing my video. This raises a big question about Apple's consistency in customer service.
The Call from Apple Executive Relations
The story didn’t end there. The next day, I received a call from a liaison at Apple’s executive relations. He admitted that the social media team had seen my video and the multiple articles written about the incident. This information had been sent up the chain, prompting the call.
He first asked if the store had replaced my iMac Pro entirely, as anything less would have been unacceptable. After confirming they did, he asked if I still had the VESA mount and its screws. I did, and they sent me a shipping label to return the kit to Apple's engineering team in Cupertino for examination. According to the liaison, "anything less than perfect performance by the VESA kit is unacceptable."
The Real Issue: Design and Support
While I recognize that my local Apple Store was a significant part of the problem, Apple corporate isn't off the hook either. The VESA kit is poorly designed. Some forum posts suggest I don’t know how to use a screwdriver, but as someone who’s done computer and smartphone repairs for years, I beg to differ. Even if that were true, a product marketed as user-installable shouldn’t be so prone to user error. That’s bad design.
And I’m not alone. I received an interesting email from a major game developer. They had purchased eight iMac Pros and experienced VESA mount failures on five of them—60%! They have trained IT specialists, yet they faced the same issues.
This leads me to believe one of two things: either Apple’s supplier cheaped out on manufacturing the mount, or Apple knowingly shipped defective units, thinking it would be cheaper to fix them as they came in rather than redesigning the product. Neither scenario makes Apple look good.
Lack of Enterprise-Level Support
This embarrassment is compounded by Apple's lack of enterprise-level support for their Pro products. Companies like Dell and HP offer immediate, often on-site support, even for lower-end products. Meanwhile, Apple struggles to provide special support for their Pro machines unless you’re an enterprise partner.
Even if you consider the iMac Pro a consumer machine (which I strongly disagree with), Apple’s phone and in-store representatives are woefully unprepared to handle their latest products. This gap in training and support is unacceptable, especially for a company that prides itself on quality and customer satisfaction.
Conclusion: A Bitter Resolution
So, while I did walk out of the Apple Store with a brand new iMac Pro, the experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Apple’s mishandling of the situation, from the poor repair job to the inadequate support, highlights significant issues in their customer service and product design.
If you enjoyed this video or found it helpful, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe for more tech content. And if you ever need phone repairs or tech advice, slow mac I highly recommend Gadget Kings PRS. They’re the best in the business for phone repairs. Check them out at Gadget Kings PRS.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra has arrived, and it’s turning heads with its impressive feature set. While some might see similarities with the Apple Watch Ultra, Samsung has integrated unique elements that make the Galaxy Watch Ultra a standout, especially for Android users. Let’s delve into the top 12 features that set this watch apart.
1. BioActive Sensor
One of the most significant upgrades in the Galaxy Watch Ultra is the BioActive Sensor. This sensor tracks your heart rate, EKG, and body composition with 30% more accuracy than previous models. Additionally, it now measures Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs), which provide insights into how your diet and lifestyle impact your aging process. This feature can help users make informed decisions about their health routines.
2. Increased Storage
The Galaxy Watch Ultra doubles the storage capacity of its predecessor, offering 32GB of space. This means you can store more music, apps, and data without worrying about running out of space, making it a more versatile device for everyday use.
3. Faster Charging
Charging has become significantly quicker with the Galaxy Watch Ultra’s 15W charging capability. This upgrade means that the watch can go from zero to full charge in about 45 minutes, compared to the 90 minutes it takes for the Watch 5 Pro. This feature ensures that your watch is ready to go with minimal downtime.
4. Extended Battery Life
Battery life is a crucial factor for smartwatches, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra doesn’t disappoint. It features a 590mAh battery, the largest for Android wearables. Samsung claims that with power-saving mode, the watch can last up to 100 hours on a single charge, making it an ideal companion for extended trips or busy days.
5. Brighter Display
The Galaxy Watch Ultra boasts the brightest display on a Galaxy Watch yet, with a peak brightness of 3000 nits. This enhancement ensures that you can see your watch face clearly even under direct sunlight, improving usability in various lighting conditions.
6. Sleep Apnea Detection
For those concerned about their sleep quality, the Galaxy Watch Ultra introduces sleep apnea detection. This feature monitors your breathing during sleep and alerts you if it detects any anomalies. This innovation is a first in the industry and can be a game-changer for individuals with undiagnosed sleep disorders.
7. Quick Button
The new Quick button on the Galaxy Watch Ultra allows users to start or pause workouts with a single press. This button can also be customized to launch other apps and perform various tasks, similar to the Action button on the Apple Watch Ultra. Holding the Quick button for five seconds activates an 85-decibel siren, a useful feature in emergencies.
8. Pre-Order Deals
Samsung is offering attractive pre-order deals for the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch 7. If you pre-order now, you’ll receive $50 off, a free band, up to $350 in trade-in credit, 10% off with Samsung’s education discount, and 25% off when bundled with other Samsung devices like the Fold6, Flip6, S24, TabS9, or Galaxy Book4. These deals make upgrading to the Galaxy Watch Ultra more enticing.
9. Galaxy AI Features
On the software side, the Galaxy Watch Ultra includes Galaxy AI features like Energy Score and Wellness Tips. Energy Score helps you gauge your body’s readiness for exercise, while Wellness Tips provide personalized advice based on your health data. These features aim to improve your overall well-being by offering actionable insights.
10. Night Mode
Night mode is another useful feature, putting a red filter on the watch face to reduce eye strain in low-light conditions. This mode is perfect for those who use their watch at night and want to avoid the harsh blue light that can disrupt sleep patterns.
11. Touch Bezel
In a surprising design change, the Galaxy Watch Ultra replaces the traditional rotating bezel with a touch bezel. This new interface works by swiping your finger around the edge of the screen. While this change might disappoint fans of the rotating bezel, it offers a modern, sleek alternative that some users may prefer.
12. 3nm Processor
Powering the Galaxy Watch Ultra is a new 3nm processor, promising faster performance and better efficiency than previous models. This upgrade ensures that the watch can handle more complex tasks with ease, providing a smoother user experience.
Additional Features and Considerations
The Galaxy Watch Ultra is packed with features that cater to fitness enthusiasts and tech-savvy users alike. Its robust health tracking capabilities, coupled with a long-lasting battery and bright display, make it a compelling choice for Android users. However, the removal of the rotating bezel might be a deal-breaker for some.
Whether you should upgrade to the Galaxy Watch Ultra depends on your current needs and preferences. If you’re content with your existing smartwatch, the new features might not be enough to justify an upgrade. But if you’re looking for a feature-packed Android smartwatch with advanced health features, better specs, and a long-lasting battery, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is certainly worth considering.
Conclusion
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra offers a mix of innovative features and practical upgrades that make it a strong contender in the smartwatch market. It’s designed to provide a comprehensive health tracking experience while ensuring that users stay connected and informed. If these features align with your needs, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is a solid investment.

Samsung has long been a dominant force in the foldable phone market, but recent competition from Huawei has stirred the waters. The burning question on everyone's mind is whether the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and its sibling, the Flip 6, with their advanced AI features, pro battery can help Samsung reclaim its throne. Samsung Mobile's CEO seems optimistic, predicting a 10% increase in sales compared to their predecessors. Let's delve into what makes the Galaxy Z Fold 6 special and whether it can truly help Samsung regain its lead.
Samsung's Optimism and Market Strategy
The CEO of Samsung Mobile, in a recent interview with a local publication following the Unpacked event, expressed confidence that the Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 will boost sales by 10%. This optimism stems from the anticipated enhancements and refinements in these new models. Samsung sold around 12 million units of the Z Fold 5 and Flip 5. A 10% increase translates to an additional 1.2 million units, a promising sign for Samsung, especially after last year's dip in market share.
Design and Build Quality
New Rubber Lining
One of the less-discussed but significant changes in the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is the switch from a glossy to a matte finish for the rubber lining between the frame and the screen. This seemingly minor tweak can make a big difference in everyday use. The matte finish not only enhances grip but also reduces fingerprints, keeping the device looking cleaner for longer periods.
Concentric Rings Around Camera Lenses
Another notable design element is the concentric rings around each camera lens. While these rings add a touch of style, they are quite sharp, to the point where running your fingers over them might leave a mark. This design choice might divide opinions, but it undeniably gives the phone a unique look.
Always-On Display Wallpaper
The Z Fold 6 now supports always-on display wallpapers, a feature that was previously exclusive to the S24 Ultra. This addition allows users to customize their screens even when the phone is locked, adding a layer of personalization that many users will appreciate.
The Quest for Thinness
On the other side of the foldable phone market, Honor has been making waves with its Magic V2, a foldable that is an impressive 9.9mm thick compared to the Z Fold 6's 12.1mm. Honor's marketing has been bold, even mocking Samsung's foldable. While the Magic V2's thinness is indeed commendable, it is essential to remember that specs are just one piece of the puzzle.
Durability and Software Quality
Durability
When it comes to foldable phones, durability is crucial. The Z Fold series has consistently demonstrated superior build quality and robustness. Samsung's rigorous testing processes ensure that each device can withstand the rigors of daily use.
Software Quality
Samsung's foldables are also known for their exceptional software, optimized specifically for the unique form factor of foldable devices. The competition still lags in this regard. Samsung's commitment to rolling out regular updates keeps their devices feeling fresh and up-to-date for years, ensuring a long-term reliable user experience.
AI Features: A Game Changer?
Samsung has packed the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with several AI-driven features, hoping to set it apart from the competition. These include chat translation, interpreter mode, live call translation, and Google's new Circle the Search. While these features are impressive, they might not be compelling enough on their own to justify an upgrade for some users.
Sketch to Image
One particularly intriguing AI feature is Sketch to Image. This allows users to draw on a photo or a blank note and generate an image from the sketch using AI. It's a fun and impressive tool that showcases the potential of AI in everyday use, even if it's not something that will be used daily by everyone.
Pre-Order Offers and Discounts
Samsung is offering a variety of pre-order incentives for the Galaxy Z Fold 6. There's a $100 discount available today only, which drops to $50 starting tomorrow until the pre-order window closes. Additional perks include a free storage upgrade, up to $1,200 in trade-in discounts, a free Samsung Care+ plan, and several bundle offers. These incentives make it an excellent time to consider purchasing the Z Fold 6.
The Foldable Experience
At the end of the day, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 might not be the absolute king in any single category, but it offers a well-rounded experience that is hard to beat. Foldability is not just about having the best specs; it's about the total experience. Samsung has consistently delivered on this front, with a combination of great hardware, software, and long-term support.
Conclusion: Should You Buy the Galaxy Z Fold 6?
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 represents a series of refinements over its predecessor. If you're someone who scrutinizes every feature under a magnifying glass, you might find it challenging to justify the upgrade. However, if you're new to foldables or have been eyeing the Fold series for a while, now is an excellent time to jump in.

Alright, folks! Samsung just dropped a bunch of new gadgets, and they let me have some early hands-on time with all the devices last week here in Toronto. I'm here to share my early impressions with you. Let's dive in!
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6
Let's kick things off with the Z Flip6. This time, Samsung is offering the Z Flip6 in four vibrant colors: Silver Shadow, Mint, Yellow, and Blue. While the Z Flip5 had some pretty muted color options, these new shades add a bit more flair, especially with the matching frames.
Gone is the glossy finish; the Z Flip6 now sports a full matte finish on both the back and the frame. Even the black bezel strip around the main display is matte now, giving the phone a sleek and sophisticated look. The sides of the phone are now more angular, providing more surface area to grip, though it does make the edges a bit sharper.
One interesting design choice is the color-matching rings around each camera lens, which draw attention to the upgraded dual cameras. The main lens is now a 50-megapixel shooter, a significant upgrade from the 12-megapixel lens on the Z Flip5. Another much-anticipated upgrade is the larger battery. The Z Flip6 boasts a 4,000mAh battery, up from the 3,700mAh in the Z Flip5, and it includes a vapor chamber for better performance.
The phone also has a new IP48 rating, which sounds impressive but doesn't solve the issue of protection against smaller particles like dust and sand. So, beachgoers, be careful! The main display is brighter but otherwise unchanged, and the crease where the display folds still looks about the same to me. The folder-shaped cover display is still here, with new widgets and the ability to place multiple widgets on a single page. However, full app support for the cover display isn't officially available from Samsung yet.
Both the Z Flip6 and Fold6 are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and come with Galaxy AI. One cool new feature is auto-framing while using Flex mode, similar to what you see on webcams. The camera will automatically frame and follow subjects in the shot, which is pretty neat.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6
Now, onto the Z Fold6. It comes in three colors: Silver Shadow, Navy Blue, and, surprisingly, Pink. The pink color is quite eye-catching, and I think it'll be popular, given the craze over the pink iPhone 15. The navy blue looks sleek and will likely be the go-to for those who prefer darker shades. The silver is the hero color this year, and it looks super premium, fitting perfectly with the Fold's futuristic aesthetic.
All three colors have a matte finish, which helps keep them clean, though the silver did show fingerprints more easily than the others. The cover screen is now slightly wider at 6.3 inches, with squared-off corners, giving it an S24 Ultra-like appearance. The sides are essentially flat, with sharper edges all around. Despite the slight increase in screen width, the front display is still fairly manageable with one hand. The squared-off corners make it feel roomier, but they might dig into your palms a bit more.
The main display remains at 7.6 inches but shares the same squared-off corner design. Both the main and cover displays get a boost in peak brightness, reaching up to 2,600 nits, up from 1,750. The Fold6 is slightly thinner and 14 grams lighter than last year's model. Samsung seems to be focusing on reducing weight and thickness with each new Fold, likely to make it more appealing to new buyers.
The metal rings around each camera lens have a slightly different design, but there don't seem to be any changes to the actual camera hardware. The battery size is also unchanged, with the Fold6 having the same 4,400mAh battery. Given that the Z Flip6 now has a 4,000mAh battery, this feels a bit small for the Fold6.
The S Pen is still a separate purchase and can't be used on the cover display. However, it has a new feature called AI drawing. It takes simple sketches and, using AI, generates several elevated versions in various art styles.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch7
Moving on to the Galaxy Watch7. As expected, it comes in two sizes: 40mm and 44mm. The smaller one is available in green or cream, while the larger one comes in green or silver. The colors are pretty subtle and look similar at first glance. There's a new default watch strap with a ripple design and tiny blue and orange stitching. It's a familiar design, but the real upgrades are on the inside.
First, the Watch7 has double the storage, with 32GB instead of the 16GB we saw on the Watch6. It also has dual-band GPS for improved mapping in urban areas and a new processor, the Exynos W1000. This processor is a significant jump in power and efficiency, making the watch feel much more responsive. Previous Galaxy watches have had issues with stuttering, but the Watch7 seems to have addressed this.
Then there's the Galaxy Watch Ultra. It has a circular display on a square body and is quite large, weighing almost three times as much as the 44mm Galaxy Watch7. To justify the higher price, Samsung uses grade four titanium instead of aluminum, and it comes in three colors: gray, white, or silver, with a thicker sportier band.
Interestingly, the Ultra shares the same 1.47-inch display as the 44mm Watch7 but has a much larger 590mAh battery thanks to the square body. It doesn't have a rotating physical bezel but features a digital bezel for navigation. There's also an extra button on the right side, called the quick button, used for launching workouts or tracking activities. The speakers are larger and louder, with a new siren feature for emergencies.
The Ultra has improved water resistance with a 10 ATM rating, making it more suitable for swimming and snorkeling. Samsung also claims it has a wider operating temperature range and a high altitude guarantee of up to 9,000 meters. This watch is clearly Samsung's answer to the Apple Watch Ultra.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro
Finally, we have the Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro. This is a pretty dramatic switch-up and kind of unexpected. Samsung might get some AirPod knockoff jokes, but I think the Buds3 and Buds3 Pro will hold their own. Both come in white and silver. I didn't get to see the white laptop computer in person, but the silver looks really nice and would pair perfectly with the silver Fold6.
The stem design of the earbuds is triangular, with a tiny blue or orange accent on the bottom. I'm not a big fan of stem designs, but they are easier to handle day-to-day. The controls rely on squeezing the stem, and you can swipe along a black line to adjust the volume.
The charging case has a tinted, slightly transparent lid that's super easy to open and close with one hand. It has matching blue and orange markers, so you know which earbud goes where. The Buds3 Pro has rubber ear tips and new blade LED lights, while the regular Buds3 do not. The Pro also has better sound quality thanks to dual drivers versus the single driver on the regular Buds3. Both have an upgraded IP57 rating for better dust resistance. Surprisingly, the earbuds themselves have smaller batteries than the previous generation, but Samsung claims they offer better battery life overall.
Final Thoughts
So, to summarize my early impressions: the Z Fold6 feels like a minor upgrade, but the new shape and weight reduction could make a difference in everyday use. The Z Flip6's larger battery, vapor chamber, and improved camera are all welcome upgrades. The Galaxy Watch7's new processor should bring some much-needed responsiveness, and while the Galaxy Watch Ultra is impressive, it's not for everyone. Strangely enough, I'm most excited about the Buds3 Pro. They look promising, and I can't wait to test them out.
Stay tuned for in-depth reviews! I'll probably start with the Z Flip6 or the Buds3 Pro. Thanks for watching, and until the next one, I'm out of here.
